Managing Director
David has over 25 years’ experience in mechanical engineering related fields and 13 years in the HVAC industry.
David acquired Hinterland Air Conditioning from the previous owner in 2007 and has continued to grow and expand the business. Introducing an in-house engineering design team to the business in 2014, David aims to ensure Hinterland Air Conditioning has the expertise to provide a premium end-to-end solution for clients including design, installation, service and maintenance.
David has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Management.
David is also a Certified Practicing Engineer and Registered Practicing Engineer of QLD.
David is a member of Engineers Australia (EA) and The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air conditioning and Heating (AIRAH).
With David’s combined qualifications and experience in engineering and business, he brings unique insight to problem solving and understanding customer needs from both a design and business perspective.
Engineer & Commercial Project Manager
Geoff has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of HVAC systems including design & drafting estimation & tendering, contract management and project management.
Having worked for engineering design consultancies and mechanical contractors Geoff has a broad and in-depth understanding of the construction process from design inception and tender phases through to construction, on-site management of installation and commissioning, defect resolution and project completion.
Geoff brings with him extensive experience in Design & Construct projects for commercial, residential, aged care, clubs, education & industrial projects.
Geoff has diplomas in Mechanical Engineering and HVAC & Refrigeration, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning & Heating (AIRAH).
Geoff has the knowledge and technical know-how to provide specialist design and construct building services expertise and the proven ability to oversee activities at all levels for the delivery of on-time and on-budget projects.
Commercial Site Manager
Chris is a qualified Mechanical Plumber with 25 years' experience in the HVAC industry.
A seasoned professional, Chris has spearheaded numerous complex commercial mechanical services projects, serving as a highly competent site supervisor.
Chris is renowned for his impeccable organisational skills and problem-solving abilities. His easygoing nature and strong interpersonal skills have fostered excellent working relationships with builders and other trades, ensuring seamless collaboration on every project.

Their acquired knowledge and expertise, make them an invaluable asset to Hinterland Air and our clients. All our technicians hold a Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
Our Apprentices
Hinterland Air Conditioning currently has 4 apprentice Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanics working toward completing their Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Trade Certificate. Hinterland Air Conditioning are committed to building a strong team of skilled professionals to ensure we have the ongoing skills and expertise to meet our clients needs.
